The head football coach at Walker High School has resigned, following an on-field brawl after the end of the Cullman-Walker game last week. Coach John Holladay took a swing at the Cullman defensive coordinator, who emerged from the fight bloodied. "We are moving forward," Jasper school superintendent Robert Sparkman said. The Alabama High School Athletic Association is investigating. "We understand the passions that are involved in interscholastic athletics, but we can never cross the line, and have those passions become unsportsmanlike," AHSAA Executive director Steve Savarese said. Holladay is suspended with pay, and could return to his teaching position at the school.
