More information on three instances of white powdery substances found in state government buildings. The substance sent to Attorney General Luther Strange's office has been identified as toothpaste. The letter was sent by an inmate who used toothpaste to seal the envelope. The AG's office was evacuated and quarantined all day last Wednesday as authorities tested the substance to determine if it was hazardous. On Thursday, a non-hazardous substance was found on a letter sent from a Department of Corrections facility to the Montgomery County Courthouse. Officials won't say what it was. On Friday, authorities say a white powdery substance sent to the Retirement Services of Alabama Tower was actually plant pollen.
