According to a new study, to stay safe on the road one must listen to a certain type of music. In fact the study narrowed it down to specific bands/artist(s) and even more so, specific songs.
Rounding out the top safest songs/artist(s) are:
- Coldplay = "The Scientist" (Irony for me, if you've ever seen the video for this song then it's pretty comical.)
- Justin Timberlake = "Cry Me a River"
- Bruno Mars = "I'm Yours"
- Norah Jones = "Come Away w/Me"
(All the above artists and songs are played here on, Magic!)
Rounding out the most dangerous:
- Black Eyed Peas = "Hey Mama"
- G-n-R = "Paradise City"
- Nickleback = "How You Remind Me" (In my personal opinion it may be because ANY Nickleback song makes one want to drive off of a cliff.)
I have a personal list of songs that I shouldn't (but do) listen to while driving. One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE BANDS....
The Foo Fighters! Ava and I have a routine that we do before we play them in the car. I'll say loudly: "It's the Foo Fighters!!" Ava will respond with: "The Mighty Fighters of Fooooooo!!!". You know, it's my responsibility as a mother to teach her the important things in life. ;)
- FOO FIGHTERS = "The Pretender" My all time favorite from, FFs. It's a deceiving song if you're not familiar w/it. It starts off harmless enough and then....BAM!!!! It gets ya' and before I know it, I'm driving like a bat outta' hell. I will NOT listen to this song w/Ava in the car, too much temptation to drive fast. In fact, as I'm typing this, I'm keeping time to the song in my head by playing the drums lightly on the keys on my keyboard.
- FOO FIGHTERS = "Walk" It's another one that seems harmless and then from no where grabs you and won't let go. This is also one of THE BEST songs to play, "Air-Drums",while driving. Who cares about the weird looks you may get, the song's too great and it pretty much demands Air Drums. The video? Another hilarious FFs vid, based on the Micheal Douglas film, "Falling Down".
- FOO FIGHTERS = "Monkey Wrench"
- FOO FIGHTERS = "The Best"
- FOO FIGHTERS = "Everlong" This is SUCH a hard song not to drive fast to, especially if you're on a long stretch of road. Who am I kidding? I can plan moves 3 cars ahead of me on the interstate when listening to this song. Do I? Not always.
Needless to say, "The Mighty Fighters of Foooooooo", are my weakness. It doesn't hurt that Dave Grohl reminds me of my husband when he was younger w/the hair. Soooooo Hot! :) hee!
For your listening pleasure (It must be listened to full blast. Those are the rules, I don't make them up.)
