
According to a report on commuting by the U.S. Census Bureau, the average person drives 25 and a half minutes . . . each way . . . to work. And one in four people go to a different county to work.
--Some people have a MUCH longer commute. One in 12 people have a one-hour commute each way. And one in 122 people qualify as "megacommuters."
--That means that they drive at least 50 miles and 90 minutes each way. And there are 587,000 people who do it.
--Three out of four megacommuters are men. And they're more likely to be older . . . married with a spouse who doesn't work . . . make a high salary . . . live in a large city . . . and leave for work before 6 A.M.
